An Ode to a Loved One.

inspired by John Keats, Ode to a Nightingale.

Day brings memories of you,
Night brings dreams,
I deny what is true,
So relentlessly, it seems,
That every hour of the day,
Shatters my heart when you're away,
As much as I want to reveal,
I hide again, my lips I seal,
But I cannot stand it no more,
I yearn for you from twilight to twilight,
My cry comes from my heart's core,
Oh, chocolate! Life without you isn't right.

I really like the poem. I hadn't read Ode to a Nightingale in years, bu reading your poem made me check it out again.

I think your poem came out great and held its own against the original.

I like your blog btw....
