Identity

"No, no. Your identity does not depend on people."
"No, no. Your identity does not depend on people."

"No, no. Your identity does not depend on people."
"No, no. Your identity does not depend on people."

"No, no. Your identity does not depend on people."
"No, no. Your identity does not depend on people."

"No, no. Your identity does not depend on people."
"No, no. Your identity does not depend on people."
She kept repeating to herself, in the mirror.
But it was not a mirror that she was talking to.
It was the reflection in that mirror that spoke to her, instead.

"No, no. Your identity does not depend on people."
"No, no. Your identity does not depend on people."

Slowly, just as the sun illuminates this cruel heart, she emerged from her window and slid down into the sharp grass with ease.
