Well done, Sister Suffragette!

We claim that civilisation has evolved as we head into the 21st century. Our ancestors have have fought for everything, freedom, equality, justice. Nevertheless, despite this all written in black and white and stashed away in law books, these things have not been encrypted in our hearts. That's why the fight for equal rights is still the outcry of today's world. Mrs Banks from Mary Poppins takes over this post with her song : 'Well done, Sister Suffragette' to remind us of why we sometimes carry signs and boards onto the streets shouting like mad people.

"Altogether now! 1,2,3....!"

Mrs Banks:
We're clearly soldiers in petticoats
And dauntless crusaders for woman's votes
Though we adore men individually
We agree that as a group they're rather stupid!
Cast off the shackles of yesterday!
Shoulder to shoulder into the fray!
Our daughters' daughters will adore us
And they'll sign in grateful chorus
"Well done, Sister Suffragette!"
From Kensington to Billingsgate
One hears the restless cries!
From ev'ry corner of the land:
"Womankind, arise!"
Political equality and equal rights with men!
Take heart! For Missus Pankhurst
has been clapped in irons again!
No more the meek and mild subservients we!
We're fighting for our rights, militantly!
Never you fear!
So, cast off the shackles of yesterday!
Shoulder to shoulder into the fray!
Our daughters' daughters will adore us
And they'll sign in grateful chorus
"Well done! Well done!
Well done Sister Suffragette!"

Politicians are like french fries.

Yummy aren't they? (The fries not the politicians)

Salt frosted, pepper coated they come dressed lavishly in bright colours jumping up and down on podiums with passion and fire. Wow, colourful start. In reference to the french fries: it would refer to the packets. Politicians always make it a point to look good. They have promises, just like fries.... of satisfied hearts and stomachs.

So what do we do, we vote. Yes, we chew and indulge ourselves in their tasty words. So scrummy yummy. Aaaaaaaah.... Yummy!

Gasp! You clench your chest! What is that pain?

The doctor (news/newspaper) tell you what those french fries did to you... What nonsense they have been up to. Tying ropes across your back, pulling you into choke holds of conspiracies.

Get the picture....?

Well, you can read this and say, "Oh, she's mad." or "She's just bored." well, I am saying this because, I hate this month. It's shipping me off to some non existent, redundant junk of a land.

What may I be talking about?

Go figure!

What's under demiciated? - Bedtime Stories-

That's KL at night from the top of KL Tower.

Probably because my life is stashed away under a cupboard right now, but... quotes seem like the most interesting things to me.

That's probably the signs of decaying brains, wit dies out the last. Haha...

Some fun ones...:
  • "I have a husband now," says Edie.
    Susan asks,"Whose?"
(Yeah, I know that one is from an advertisement, and I don't like Desperate Housewives... but what de heck?)
  • This one is from a Chinese movie trailer, Love Matters.
    "Are you really Benny's father?"
"Do I look like Benny's mother?"

(Sorie, I know that was lame.)
  • "Cover her face: mine eyes dazzle: she died young."
    The Duchess of Malfi
re-quoted in Sleeping Murder by Agatha Christie.
    Pretty one huh...?

Yeapz, that's pretty much it all.... till next time.
